A Dance with Dragons

She broke down and let me in
Made me see where I've been

Been down one time
Been down two times
I'm never going back again                                              -Fleetwood Mac                                                             ----                            Yesterday i finished A FEAST FOR CROWS.It was great. And then i picked up the 5th book at J&J's; A DANCE WITH DRAGONS. It just came out in June so it's a hard cover, again over 1,000 pages. It's as big as my head (and i have an enormous pumpkin on my shoulders) I read books 2, 3 and 4 since August. The goal is to get it read by Dec 29 so i don't have to lug the damn thing with me through Eastern Europe. I could sell it back to J&J's for like 4€ (Yes! i found the character palette on my Mac so i actually have a Euro sign now. How unfortunate that the currency may collapse in the 2012)    but i am seriously considering cutting it into pieces and hole punching it into a folder so i can carry it around in small manageable bites.

They didn’t," Greenspan said. "Instead, northern Europe fell into subsidizing southern Europe’s excess consumption, that is, its current account deficits."                     -Allen Greenspan, Oct. 7. 2011

Panpandreu of Greece is gone. Burluconi of Italy is finished. As of tomorrow, Zapatero is done in Spain. Elections tomorrow. Rubalcara (Isn't that fun to say?) for PSOE (the left) and Rajoy for PP (the right.)   Zapatero was in power for 8 years (elected days after the Atocha train bombings of 2004.) It seems inevitable that the PP will win. Rajoy is an angry right wing asshole. This means my gay flat mates and I (cuz of my status) may have to live in an attic. Luckily we are on the 6th floor of 7, so fuck it. That's close enough.                                                                 Time to cook some lunch! Hamburgers! Man, it felt good to sleep today. Really awesome.
Not sure what to do today. Perchance nothing. It's gray and rainy. That's fall in Southern Europe.  Tomorrow teach and then the Atletico game at 20:00 vs. Levante (A Valenican team.)

Maybe i'll just read. Maybe i'll go out. Maybe a bit of both.
